My name is David L. Franklin. I’m a Health & Wellness Coach and owner of DLF Fitness Personal Training Studio in the Penn Quarter section of Washington, DC.
I usually work with the busy professional looking to balance diet and exercise, safely and effectively.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritional Consultant. I have been training since 1996 in both the military and private sectors. I have had some pretty incredible results with my clients. From improved body composition to improved health and performance.

Functional Training: Is the approach I use. Functional training leads to better muscular balance and joint stability. A major benefit comes from training that emphasizes the body's natural ability to move in three anatomical planes of motion. In comparison, though machines can often be safer to use, they restrict movements to a single plane of motion, which is an unnatural form of movement for the body and may potentially lead to faulty movement patterns or injury. I train clients for real life functions not a bodybuilding show.
