I have been helping people lose weight since 1996!

I offer both In-home Personal Training and Online Weight Loss Coaching.

Why Train With Me?

My name is David L. Franklin. I am a Certified Personal Trainer, specializing in Weight Loss.  I can help you by providing:

Most of us work harder in the presence of others. Having me by your side can provide the encouragement, energy and motivation you need to jumpstart your routine. I can also help you set goals, create a plan to accomplish them and celebrate the day you reach them.

Do you find it difficult to stick with a program or habit? I can hold you accountable and help you overcome all the excuses you might use to avoid your commitment to exercise. It’s a lot harder to skip the gym when you know someone is coming to you.

Fitness can be confusing. There is a lot of information to sort through. Eat this, not that. Cardio before or after strength training? I can help you find credible information and provide direction on your fitness journey.  I can help remove the guesswork so you can put all your energy toward accomplishing your goals.

Exercise  can be intimidating. Working with me allows you to become confident with how to perform exercises correctly. After a few sessions, you may feel ready to tackle exercising on your own. Even better, an ego boost during exercise can promote stronger self-confidence and self-efficacy, which can help you stick with your exercise program over the long term.

Avoid Injury

If you are new to exercise or find that some movements are painful, it is worth hiring a trainer to be certain that you are moving in a safe and effective way. Taking the time to learn proper exercise technique can improve your results and prevent annoying injuries.

Individual Attention

When it comes to fitness, everyone is different. Your unique body mechanics, experience, goals, fitness level, likes and dislikes can guide me in creating a plan that is specific to your needs. With a program that fits, you are more likely to maintain the habit and see results.

Training With Medical Conditions

Exercise is beneficial for preventing or managing many common chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension. However, exercising with a medical condition requires additional precautions. A knowledgeable trainer with experience training clients with chronic conditions can design a program that ensures your safety and provides a positive exercise experience.

Aging Gracefully

Our bodies change as we age. Perhaps the exercises you used to do no longer work with your body, or maybe you’ve stopped seeing results. I can help you adjust or adapt your program as you age, which will allow you to maintain functionality and strength.

I service the Capitol Hill, NOMA, Penn Quarter, Navy Yard and Downtown sections of Washington D.C., but people all over the world are taking advantage of my Online Weight Loss Training Programs.

If you are like most people, hiring a personal trainer means carving out time from your busy schedule to travel to the gym and stretching the budget to cover the cost.  It's no secret that the cost of personal training can be staggering - as high as $200 per hour.

By using my online training program(s), you'll save time and money. Choose one of my affordable online coaching packages priced at a fraction of my in-home personal training packages.

The Benefits of In-Home Personal Training

No more worrying about getting stuck in traffic in a cab, no more early morning or late night commuting in the rain, snow or having to rush back to a business meeting or home to eat dinner with family or friends.

In-Home Personal Training will allow you all the benefits of working out at your gym without feeling like you have an audience watching your every move.

It’s pretty easy to talk yourself out of a trip to the gym, but when I show up at your door, there are no excuses.
